Expressing Sympathy



Expressing sympathy means we care about other people's bad condition, when they are sad, unlucky or when they have a bad day. To show our sympathy, we can use the expressions below:
  • I am so sorry to hear that.
  • I am really sorry to hear that.
  • How terrible.
  • It's awful.
  • How pity.
  • What a pity.
  • How poor you are.
  • That's too bad.
