How to Make Fried Potatoes

Ingredients:

4 red potatoes

3 tablespoons of olive oil

1 onion, chopped

1 green black pepper, seeded and chopped

1 teaspoon of salt

3 /4 teaspoon of paprika

1 /4 teaspoon of ground black pepper

1 /4 cup of chopped fresh parsley

Equipments:

Large skillet

Plate

Pot

Steps:

1.      Bring a large pot of salted water to boil! Add potatoes and cook until they are tender but still firm, for about 15 minutes!

2.      Drain the potatoes and cut them into 1 /2 inch cubes when they are already cool!

3.      In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium high heat. Add onion and green pepper! Cook about 5 minutes, stir often, until it is soft! Transfer to a plate and set aside!

4.      Pour remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil into the skillet and turn heat to medium – high!

5.      Add potato cubes, salt, paprika and black pepper! Cook, stir occasionally, until the potatoes are browned for about 10 minutes!

6.      Stir in the onions, green peppers and parsley and cook for another minute! Serve hot!

Long, long time ago a rabbit and a lion were neighbors. The lion was very proud, and was fond of boasting about his strength. And though they were such close neighbors, the lion looked down upon the rabbit, and used to bully and frighten her. Finally, the rabbit could stand it no longer and wanted to get her own back.

One day she went to the lion and said, “Good day, respected elder brother. If there is no one, all of you have to submit to my rule and be my servants!” “Oh, he was an intolerable braggart! “Yes, indeed,” the rabbit replied.“ but it would have been better if I hadn’t. When I described how strong you were, he just sneered and said dreadfully rude things. He even went so far as to say that he wouldn’t take you for his attendant!”

The lion flew into a rage and roared, “Where is he? Where is he?”

So the rabbit took the lion behind a hill and, not going too near herself, pointed to a deep well from a distance, and said, “He is down there, in the well.”

The lion hastened to the well and glared angrily into it. Yes there is his rival who even glared back at him angrily. The lion roared, and his enemy roared back. The lion became so furious that his hair stood on end. So did his enemy’s in the well. The lion showed his teeth and lashed out with his paws to scare his rival and his enemy in the well retaliated! In a fit of anger the lion sprang into the air with all his might and then flung himself at the enemy in the well. The result was that the proud lion was instantly drowned.

One day in July 2005, I went fishing on Sodus bay. I casted under our own dock with a rubber worm and BOOM!

A big bass took off to the other side of the dock and I was sure the line was going to break because his pulling was rubbing the line against sharp rocks. There times I pulled him back to my side of the dock and three times he got back to the other side of the dock. Finally, I got him to my side and he was tired.

I knew that this was the biggest bass I had ever seen. I worked him towards me and got down on my belly, reached down and gripped him. However, I didn’t have a good grip at first and I let him down to the water for a few second to get a better grip. The next thing I knew he was swimming away. No! I screamed louder than I ever had. It was the first time I cried over a fish. What a huge fish. This is a true story and a sad one for me.

YONKERS, Nov 12th, a four alarm fire damaged 14 stores today in the Cross County Shopping Center, the largest shopping center in Westchester Country.

Two fire investigators said the blaze apparently started in a pile of cardboard cartons at the rear of a shoe store and spread through a utilities duct above the 13 other stores. The fire started at 4.40 p.m. and was declared under control at 6.14 p.m. The center is on the Cross County Parkway at the Gov. Thomas E. Dewey Thruway.
